Alan was born in Hong Kong and raised in the UK. He is a graduate of the Royal College of Art where he obtained his Masters in Fashion Menswear. He has designed and consulted for international names such as Alfred Dunhill, Diesel, Fred Perry, Blanc Bleu, G2000, Avery Dennison Global Creative Services and Korean retail group NIX where he was director of fashion, launching both mens and womens collections for its two in-house brands with 48 freestanding stores and sales points.
In 2006, he started his own consulting hub, helping to rebrand factories to become more relevant and to develop their ODM business. He has collaborated on a number of groundbreaking fashion and techstyle startups, the most notable is Arts Thread, now the world’s leading network for creative graduates. In 2011, he was involved in conceiving & establishing Amdacious, a brand that prides itself on exquisite workmanship of its fashion products and finely crafted leather accessories.
Alan has extensive higher education and professional training experience. He is an invited speaker at the Hong Kong Design Institute, Clothing Industry Training Authority and Garment Fashion Practitioners Association. He has also consulted for the China General Chamber of Commerce in Beijing to develop courses for their EMBA Fashion Management Program.
